Waterville's wild backdrop

Mountains around Waterville

Lough Currane sits below the south-western Dunkerron Mountains, where Coomcallee, Eagles Hill and Knocknagantee form a broken wall of coums and lakes. To the west the land falls to Coomakista and Bolus Head, looking over Ballinskelligs Bay to the Skelligs.
