Derrynane House was the family home of Daniel O'Connell (1775–1847), "the Liberator", and is now a museum set in a national historic park beside the dunes and beach at Derrynane. It is one of the best-known stops on the Ring of Kerry, and the park's woodland and coastal walks make a good half day with the beach.
