The Skellig Ring leaves the main Ring of Kerry near Waterville and loops west through Ballinskelligs, the Irish-speaking heart of the Dark Sky Reserve, past St Finian's Bay and over the hill to Portmagee. It is narrower and quieter than the main route, with some of the best sea views on the peninsula.
